Due to ever changing weather and supply conditions out of our control, occasionally an item will become unavailable after an order is placed. Should that happen we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss substituting another item of equal or greater value, or changing the delivery timing.


We ship all orders overnight via Fedex. To ensure freshness, we are not able to ship over weekends.

We take the time to prepare every shipment to order, after all the orders are received in. This takes some time, which is why we actually ship the order the following day, after the order is taken.

Seafood products are very perishable. All our shipments are packed with ample refrigerant to maintain the product in average weather conditions for the shipping period (estimated conservatively to allow for some extra time). It is recommended that someone be available to receive shipments from Discount Lobster.com™ upon delivery, or shortly thereafter. If you are sending a gift to someone, please notify them when to expect the delivery. If no one is available, and the package is left unattended for an extended period (especially in hot climates), we cannot guarantee that the seafood will remain in good condition.

Upon receipt we recommend that you unpack the shipper contents as soon as possible and store the seafood in the refrigerator and/or freezer, as appropriate, to maintain optimum freshness. The shipping containers are not suitable for storing your product after receipt.

Please check the shipping address carefully for errors. We cannot guarantee shipments that FedEx is unable to deliver.

If you are not completely satisfied with your order - for any reason - we ask that you contact us within 24 hours of delivery. When appropriate, we will replace your purchase or refund your money, whichever you prefer.
